How To Make It In America and Grand Theft Auto IV

When I read the synopsis of the show I thought the plot sounded a bit like the one of the game: two inmigrants trying to live the American dream in New York.

But when we saw the first episode, we found more similarites: the cousin, the cars, the parties… It’s not the same New York you see in other shows like Sex and the City or How I Met Your Mother, it’s the New York you see in Grand Theft Auto. Watching the show makes you feel like you’re in one of the missions in the game.

I still have to watch the second episode and see how it goes…

Update:
I watched the second episode and found it a little bit boring, not so fast paced as Entourage. Although visually it still reminds me of GTA, the plot has got nothing to do with it.
The good thing is that you can see a different New York City than in other shows, the city looks more like the one you see when you’re visiting.
Anyway, I’ll watch the third episode to follow my theory: if you like episode 3, you’re gonna like the show.
